FIRST BLOGPOST IN ALKMAAR

My first blog post is just as special as the city Alkmaar, where I spent my teenage years and where my parents still live. Alkmaar is a popular cheese town with many beautiful historical buildings and typical Dutch canal houses. For centuries the world-famous cheese market is held on Friday morning from April till September. In addition to the cheese experience, there are plenty of attractions to experience in Alkmaar, so I really recommend visiting this city if you are planning a trip to the Netherlands!

Given the time of the year and my preference for warm clothing, I will very often choose a comfy and a winterproof outfit. Here I am wearing a cable wool turtleneck sweater, which I already have super long, but there are many similar for sale at the moment. I have to say that in the winter I almost always wear a long-sleeved shirt under a wool sweater because it feels better, as wool often pricks (Am I the only one doing this??)
The jacket is again an item I scored a few years ago during the sale of C&A, which I conjured up again, the inside is lined with warm material. As long as you keep the ratio of top and bottom in balance you can even wear a skirt in the winter, in this case the top is dressed up in layers, and the bottom actually too, but it looks slightly fresher, because of the thin pantyhose (I wear a 15-denier gray panty under the net stockings).

I love to combine different types of materials, with this leatherlook skirt from ZARA it wasn't so difficult, as it has an outline of wool at the bottom, which is making it very gradually matched with the top. With this outfit it is very easy to combine any bag, a black leather would go very well anyway, I chose this cute fluffy cross-body bag.
The boots I wear here are from Marco Tozzi, they are in my opinion resistant to all weather conditions, so I wear them with all my love. Because of the laces and lacquer look they are chic and at the same time tough, the sole is serrated and therefore anti-slip, the inside is soft and formed to your foot, making them FABULOUS on a busy rainy day.
